Study App | WatchOS | Case Study |

Study App is a mobile application for language students adapted for watchOS. This app allows users to learn every place and plan future practise by adjusting their study sets during rounds.
About Project
This UI design was created for the "Idź Pan w UI" by Natalia Bienias contest and was distinguished at the evaluation stage.

📅 Time: October-November 2022
🛠 UI design made in Figma
🔎 Based on Human Interface Guidelines

🎯 The goal
The task was to create a handy watch app for the Apple Watch 45 mm based on Human Interface Guidelines as an accompaniment to the main mobile application to encourage regular learning sessions.

🧐 The issue
Due to its small size, adapted for watchOS, functionality had to be cut to the essentials. I decided to:

1️⃣ to focus on the context and surroundings of using the app - enable quick, glanceable interactions adapted to use in a diverse environment like the bus or school hallway.
2️⃣ to enable studying by using various methods: flashcards, a pronunciation checker, and listening.
Design Drafts
Final Design: Human Interface Guidelines
✏️ Typography
Text San Francisco Compact Scale based on Dynamic Type size for watch OS xLarge.

Main screen
The first screen navigates to:
1. flashcards,
2. listening,
3. and settings, where you can modify flashcards and manage the notification system.
1️⃣ Flashcards
Users can shuffle flashcards, repeat each part, and listen to pronunciation.
➞ Inside flashcard study session
Users can learn pronunciation by recording themselves and getting evaluations.
2️⃣ Listening
On the podcast screen, there is a transcript with highlighted current fragments, designed to support understanding while listening.
Reminder
Daily reminders are based on the notification system, which you can configure on your mobile device and enable or disable via the watchOS app.
Summary
Thank you for spending your time here! Not only have I found making this UI project amusing, but I also highly appreciate the opportunity to study Human Interface Guidelines from top to bottom.

I believe using tailorable tools provides meaningful insights into the study process. This app allows users to learn every place and plan future practise by adjusting their study sets during rounds.
